This intense and emotional production has been a firm favourite of West End audiences for several years now. The show has been revamped and is guaranteed to be a sucess thanks to the winning collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Evita's first production showed at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1978 and set the record for the highest box office advance in West End history!
The new show has been written for the 1996 film adaptation and will include new material and songs from the film.

Evita is the story of Argentinian Eva Peron, the wife of the famous dictator Juan Peron. Eva became a greatly loved hero to the people of Argentina, doing much for the poor and those less fortunate than herself.
The scene is set in Junin and Buenos Aires, Argentina where Eva rises as an icon against increasing unrest and corruption within Argentinian politics. She was recognised as a saviour to the people, spreading hope and goodwill in the midst of dark times.
